Malegro has it all...nobility, pedigree, movement, temperament and great rideability.  In fact, he is very hard to fault.  He has proved to be sane and sensible in the most stressful of situations with judges, vets and riders commenting on his fabulous outlook on life and his wonderful work ethic.  He also has a fabulous jump.

Malegro can sire Buckskin, Palomino, Perlino, Cremello, Smoky Black and Smoky Cream foals depending on the mares genetic make-up as well as more traditional colours. To solid coloured mares (Bay, Chestnut, Black) there is a 50% chance of a dilute foal.

Pedigree

​

Malegro is by the beautiful Cremello stallion Magician GF , a German WB stallion who was imported to Britain as a foal. He has, however, just been sold back to Germany to stand at a Private Stud. Having a high percentage of both Hanoverian and Trakehner blood in his breeding Magician GF shows great expression in his paces with excellent collection and a real ability to sit and come up through his shoulders.

Magician GF is by the outstanding Mascapones Erbe, who’s sire Mascarpone GF, was the first ever Cremello Warmblood licensed for warmblood breeding. He was premium awarded both as a foal and at his Licensing. He has also passed his Stallion Performance Test with impressive scores, showing great rideability, a calm trainable temperament and exceptional movement. Also within this impressive pedigree is the great Malteser Gold, a palomino stallion by the legendary Marduc, widely regarded as being one of the most important Trakehner stallions ever, widely producing Championship sons and daughters as well as highly regarded dressage horses.

On the other side of our boy’s pedigree, Malegro's Dam is by the legendary stallion Negro, who’s place in history is now assured as one of the all time greats of the dressage breeding world. With a dressage index of 150 (92%) he has just been installed into the KWPN Hall of Fame as a Preferent stallion…1 of only 22 stallions to achieve this.

 

As the sire of the outstanding Valegro, Team GBR’s Gold Medal Dressage Team and Individual Dressage Gold Medal Winner at the 2012 Olympic Games, Negro is a highly desirable inclusion in any top performance pedigree.

Negro is by the Keur stallion ‘Olympic’ Ferro, a stalwart of the Dutch Dressage Team for many years. Known affectionately known as ‘The Black Pearl’ he brings the outstanding stallions Ulft, Le Mexico, Farn and Furioso into this mix.

Ferro can always be relied upon to bring beautiful, typey, talented offspring of the highest quality through a pedigree with fantastic toplines and an elegance in movement.

The bottom line breeding in this pedigree is also outstanding with all the greats making an appearance. Welt Hit, Weltmeyer, World Cup I, Absatz, Cor De La Bryere, Donnerhall AND Pik Bube I all feature in this fantastic gene pool. None of these superlative stallions need any introduction, the list being a Who’s Who of exceptional genetics. We also have the mare Fantastica within the pedigree…who is a full sister to the outstanding Don Shufro, and Dam to the stallions Classico and Sunny Boy.

Competition 

Malegro was left to mature before being ridden away and as such has only competed very lightly.  He has shown under saddle winning 4 classes. being 2nd in his other and being selected as Reserve Champion (all at his first ever show!).
